glow & tell: LIZ from SECRET OF MOMS WHO DARE TO TELL ALL

THIS WEEK'S GLOW & TELL COMES FROM THE V-GORGEOUS ELIZABETH FROM SECRETS OF MOMS {WHO DARE TO TELL ALL}...
Here's her beauty secrets...
MY BEST BEAUTY ADVICE... I have super sensitive oily/dry combination skin that is prone to breakouts and rosacea, if I’m not careful. My best advice would be to find the best products for your skin type, and wash and hydrate your skin twice a day. I love Proactiv’s 3-Step System. The cleanser kills acne-causing bacteria with prescription grade benzoyl peroxide, yet is not overly harsh on my skin.

I hydrate with Clinique Youth Surge SPF 15 during the day (I mix in a little Jergens Natural Glow to help create natural looking color) and Clinique Youth Surge Night before bed. I love Estee Lauders Advanced Night Repair for my eyes both morning and night. It feels so silky and soothing! On my lips, I love to use Aquaphor Healing Ointment under my lip gloss or lip stick (this actually is a MUST-HAVE) and I use it on my lips and hands before bed as well. I have been told that I have very soft lips and hands! Two more things: Wear sunglasses to shield sensitive eye area from sun rays and helps you from squinting. Also, if you have sparse lashes, you have to try RevitaLash! When I use it, it works miracles!
MUST-HAVE PRODUCTS… I'm a hair product and lip gloss addict! I LOVE KMS California Silk Sheen Leave-In Conditioner infused with almond and basil. I spray it in my hair after a shower. It has tiny sparkles that create very soft shiny hair. It’s my liquid gold! Then, I run a dab of Arctec Kiwi Color Reflector Blow Silk through my hair. It’s shiny, smooths away my fly aways, and smells delicious! I cannot live without my Clinique oil-free Superbalanced Makeup. I dab and blend where needed. It absorbs oil where oil-control is needed and moisturizes where hydration is needed. Then, I lightly brush on Clinique Redness Solutions instant relief mineral powder and add a little color with The Body Shop Brush on Bronze mineral beads. I'm in love with Clinique’s long lasting glosswear with SPF 15. My current favorite color is Bonfire!

just WINGING IT

I LOVE WINGED-EYELINER...
so I was really chuffed when I found these DIY refresher tips!
Need to brush up too? Read on...
* A pencil or a gel-based liner is easier to control than a liquid liner. However, liquid liner will often look a bit more dramatic (with liquid liner, start by lightly tracing a line with a pencil, then go over it with liquid liner).
* Apply liner starting near the inner corner of the eye as close to the lash line as possible.  (It's best to use a freestanding mirror so you can look down into the mirror with a stretched out lid).
* For a more intense look, thicken the line toward the outer edge of the eye.
* Next, starting on the outer edge of your line, slightly extend and wing out your eye liner. For the feline-inspired look without an the retro feel, pick a gel liner in a rich, gem-coloured shade instead of the typical black.
* Easily fix any mistakes with a little makeup remover on a cottonbud.

copy-cat her HAIR

CLASSIC FRENCH BRAIDS CAN BE A LITTLE OUT-OF-DATE...
but I love this mussed-up version {which can also hide a fringe that's growing out!}
Here's the how-to-do:
1. Distribute smoothing cream through damp hair, then blow-dry using a round brush.
2. Make a deep side part and divide into three sections from the part area. Take the section of hair from the left and cross it over in between the right and centre sections of hair, as you would with a standard braid.
3. Use your index fingers to pick up half-inch sections of hair to keep the braid balanced and pull them into the braid.
4. Continue to french braid across your hairline (leave some strands out near the front to weave in), and secure with an elastic. Keep your unbraided tresses bouncy with a curl-reviving spray.
Gorgeous + practical = love!
