PURPLE EYESHADOW DOESN'T HAVEN'T TO LOOK LIKE A
THROWBACK FROM THE 80's...
Here are some tips from StyleList to keep your purple peepers completely modern...
• The most flattering purple is bluish lavender. Fuchsia is the least flattering.
• Always combine purples with other neutrals (golds, tans, taupes, browns) to avoid overkill.
• Avoid 80s candy colours like full on pink blush and lips or you risk looking like "Miss Piggy!"
• Minimise under eye discolouration with concealer and use Visine to take any redness out of eyes, unless that "I Just Got Punched in the Face" look is what you're going for.
how to wear purple...
SMOKY EYE - Choose deep purple or mauve shadows that suit your skin and work it into a smoky eye for a fresh take on this classic look.
DAY LOOK – Peachy pink is a universally flattering blush and lip color and works well with our hue d'jour. Nude works too.
EVENING LOOK – A spicy blush or bronzer with gold flecks will illuminate the face and bring the purple into present day. If you're going with purple eyes and bronzed cheeks, the best lip is a pinky nude.
