New York Fashion Week earlier this month!

 She created the sporty and modern English look to compliment the Beatrix Potter inspired collection. “I wanted to play off the British feel of the collection and highlight the great prints,” says Westman. “I used neutral colours on the eyes and created a flushed lip to give the girls an outdoorsy yet modern look.”

copy-cat her hair: THE NEW TWIST

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THE BUMPED-UP PONY...

so you can imagine my delight when I discovered this post @ The Beauty Department!

 This is a great way to style your hair for almost any occasion and can be done in minutes! 

Here's how-to-do's… 

 TOOLS: curling iron {a 1″ barrel}, clear ponytail holder or one that matches your hair colour, largebbobby pins {because they hold a lot of hair and will stay more secure!}, comb and hair spray. 

 Start by adding some curl to your hair for texture. Create a low ponytail. {Make a line from ear to ear and used the hair on bottom for this.} Then divide the top into 3 even sections. Tease the middle section for added volume and texture. Then twist the middle section and pin it to the low ponytail using a large bobby pin for security. Tease the side section to add more texture. Twist it back and pin it to the low ponytail using a large bobby pin. Repeat the teasing on the other side and pin it to the low ponytail using a large bobby pin. Pull a few pieces out around your face to soften the look. Last, mist the whole thing with a medium holding hairspray.

make-up free MONDAY

{This is a pic of me last year when I first posted about Makeup Free Mondays!}

I HAVEN'T BEEN WEARING MAKE-UP THE LAST COUPLA DAY...
because of my surgery - and it reminded me about a post I did last year about Make-up Free Monday!

I love{d} the idea because it’s all about encouraging self-confidence in ourselves and promoting confidence and inner beauty in others. So I'm adopting again!!!!

+ it's great for your skin

+ it takes you less time to get out of the house

 You can join the Make-up Free Monday Movement - here's how: 

 1. Don’t wear makeup on Mondays (or use less for those who need to do this
in baby steps).

 2. Stop apologising for not wearing makeup, no matter what day of the week it is.

 3. Organise official Makeup Free Mondays at your school, work place or with your friends.

 4. Encourage conversations about 'beauty from within' and better body image within your own family and friendships.

 5. Share your makeup free photos by EMAILING ME a pic of you {make-up free} and I'll post it next Monday!
